My midwifery journey began with the home birth of my daughter in 1995. Though young, I was fascinated with pregnancy and forever altered by giving birth. I decided right then and there that I wanted to be able to offer more women the opportunity to give birth in a safe and comfortable environment. By the time my son was born in 2001, I was well on my path. I gave birth in a room full of people and my husband caught the baby!
I am a Certified Professional Midwife, Registered in Colorado, providing comprehensive care for women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. I recently attended my 150th birth! I am willing to help women from Pueblo to Denver and anywhere in between, though my home and office are in Colorado Springs.
At Holistic Home Birth, my clients are treated to one hour office visits where we can discuss any questions or concerns during pregnancy; they have access to my Lending Library and new Lending Wardrobe; but most of all they have 24 hour access to their midwife...and they know who to expect at their birth!
I am also a licensed massage therapist, who has specialized in prenatal and postpartum massage for the last 10 years. In 2005 I completed my doctorate in Naturopathy from Trinity College of Natural Health. I like to integrate all my skills to encourage healthy mothers and children!
