A woman has the right to choose how she wants to birth. I help to educate you and your family
on the risks and benefits of any procedures you may choose. Each mom will create the birth she
desires whether it is non-medicated or medicated. Birth is normal and natural and I will help
educate you so that you understand the risks and benefits of each intervention that may arise so
that you are fully informed and can develop a proper birth plan. Every woman needs and
deserves a doula. I will offer you and your partner the comfort and guidance you need during
your labor and birth.

I have experience with natural (un-medicated), medicated, VBAC, homebirth, waterbirth,
induction, augmentation, planned and unplanned c-sections, teen birth, multiples, loss, and high
risk pregnancies. I was a staff doula at St. Joseph's and Rose Medical Center in Denver and I
teach Optimal Fetal Positioning Techniques which may help you to have a shorter, less painful
birth by practicing positions prenatally that help your baby move to the optimal position.

My goal is to help you and your family understand that you DO have choices and help you learn
how to advocate for yourselves. I will help you to understand the positions that will help you be
more comfortable during labor as well as positions for giving birth. We will develop a birth plan
prenatally that will help you and your birth team understand your desires for birth. I like to discuss
birth scenarios with you to help you understand the birth process better and to help make labor
and birth not so unknown and fearful. You will understand the routine procedures of the hospital
you choose to deliver in as well as obstacles and issues that may arise that don't correlate with
your birth desires. I will help you and your family process any unexpected procedures or
outcomes to help you feel more in control of your birth. Your partner will play an active role in
your labor and birth to help make the experience more intimate and loving.
